Metacognitive Experience

I finished this book pretty quick. Took me like 3 days to finish it. While I was reading I wasn't thinking to hard about it, just taking in what was going on. When I got like half way through the book I was just thinking that something bad was going to happen to the family but it never did. Like when Marjane first went to a protest it seemed like Marjane or Mehri were bound to get hurt in the protest but nothing. And then towards the end Marjane's neighborhood was bomb and still nothing. Throughout the story I was expecting something bigger to happen. At the end of the book, it felt like nothing really happened and left me wanting more.
